Nostalgia

Sitting at a coffee shop next to a guy that looks like he's planning a trip around the world... how do I casually strike up conversation and ask him if I can go without sounding desperate and crazy???

SO here I am on my spring break..... on the computer. wha?? Seriously though, it has been SOOOO nice to have the days all to myself, to fill them up however I like. While it does suck that I couldn't afford to go anywhere, and also that no-one else had time off at the same I did (jerks); it has really been nice to catch up on things I've been wanting to do. Like make a new playlist on my IPOD. YEAH...that's how exciting I am.

And by the way, I did pass all my finals!! YESSS!! When I go back to school next week I start Clinic! EEK. I'm nervous. But it'll be good, I'm confident. SO from now on if you want a massage come to Myotherapy College on Saturday afternoons from 1-4 pm. Ask for Crystal. :) $25

Let's see, what else....I finally got brave and took the frontrunner to Ogden this week to visit my Mom for her birthday. It was actually pretty fun. Nice smooth ride, and only took about 45 minutes. Not bad at all! I highly recommend it to anyone who travels north for any reason.

Side note: I need more friends with bikes.

Well I just wanted to update this thing since I haven't had much time recently. But really I don't have anything exciting to report. SO peace out.

FINALS WEEK!!!

Okay boys and girls.... FINALS week is finally here! I can't believe I have already made it through my 2nd term AND 110 muscles!!! AHH!! I've gotten to the point where whenever I watch someone move, especially dance, I sit and visualize the exact muscles that they are using and the kinesiology terms of the movements their doing. I've been studying my butt off, and I'm actually not totally terrified of my final.. which that in itself sorta frightens me. hmmm..


Well, needless to say, my life will continue to be pretty intensely consumed with muscle-study until after Wednesday. Then.....

IT'S SPRING BREAK BITCHES!!!

I am prepared to play.......hard! So everyone who wants to play with me please call me after this week! (and get ur mind outta the gutter!)

It'll be my one and only week free of school this year! :D

IS A GOLDEN GODDESS!!!

Betty White is all the hype right now. And you know what?! She should be! In fact she should always be the hype. As you should know, she reluctantly hosted Saturday Night Live last week, (they've been trying to get her to host for YEARS but she's never wanted to) and if you were unfortunate enough to miss it...Well, you best be HULU'n that shit ASAP! Pure brilliance.

Now, I don't want to get all elementary and "I liked her first!" on ya... HOWever, it's totally true. I've loved Betty White since as far back as I remember. I can say with confidence that I have seen EVERY SINGLE episode of the Golden Girls at least ten times.

It is my all time favorite show of all time. ALL TIME!

The season DVD's are ALL I've asked for for my birthday for years... why I haven't bought them for myself is beyond me. (probably cause they ain't cheap)

Betty White is the only famous person that I've met that had me TOTALLY star struck!! All I could do was shake her hand all wide eyed and smilely. It took all of my power not to start rambling about how much I love her. She's just the sweetest thing ever! Plus she's a total hottie, and hysterical to boot!!

So I just wanted to pay a tribute to my favoritest of ladies!
Betty White, you are a GOLDEN GODDESS that deserves all the admiration in the world!!!

Titanic

When Titanic came out, I was 13. I saw it in theatres about 3 or 4 times. I bawled my eyes out every time. However, I was watching the movie as an innocent teen watching a love story. I cried for the couple that didn't get to continue living and loving each other.

On Sunday evening, Titanic came on TV... So mom and I watched it. It's the first time I've seen it probably since I was 14 or 15 (so about ten years). This time as I watched, I watched it as a historical documentation of something that ACTUALLY happened. I cried this time, but not for Jack, and not for Rose, not for the ficticious love story... but for the 1,500+ people that lost their lives that night. I cried for the unimaginable TERROR that they had to go through in the time that their trusty ship sank out from under them. I cried for the people who got LOCKED in the bottom of the ship, with no hope to even TRY and survive. I cried for the people who were left stranded in the ice cold water to die. I cried for the SIX people who were saved by the ONE boat that came back. I cried for all the people on land who lost a loved one to the ocean that night.


What a tragedy. It has seriously traumatized me. I really can't even fathom the fear that would be pulsing through your veins as all of this happened around you, and knowing that there really is nothing you can do but face the inevitable outcome.

I also can't imagine living through that... that would haunt me for the rest of my life.
I can't stop thinking about it. Therefore, my thoughts go out to all the people who had to go through such a horrific experience.

I seriously have the best, most wonderful, most fantastic, most fabulous, most AMAZING Mom on the planet!!!!
I know everyone says that, and you know, they should! You're mom is THE reason you are even on this planet!!! (well I guess your Dad helped too)

I was going to write a poem for her here, but you know, there really are not words to express the gratitude I have for my Mom and everything she has done for me.
Mom, I love you so much it's terrifying!!!
